Linear Integration Overview

minware integrates with Linear to give you insights into agent efficiency, agile metrics, project completion, cost reporting, and more.

minware integrates with Linear via its GraphQL API using an API key. minware fully loads all of your historical data for tickets, cycles, teams, projects, agents, and more.

Setup Process

To integrate with Linear, follow these steps:

  1. If you don't have a minware account, sign up for one. Otherwise, request admin access to an existing minware account.
  2. Visit the integrations page in minware by going to (settings gear icon in lower-left corner) > Org Settings > Data Sources > Integrations.
  3. Click the Linear icon under Ticket Sources.
  4. In a new tab in Linear, ensure you have admin permissions.
  5. Go to Settings > Account > Security & Access > Personal API Keys
  6. Click "Create new" to generate a new token
  7. Copy the token (starts with lin_api_)
  8. Switch back to the minware tab, paste the token, and click "Add Linear"

Initial Data Load Time

Depending on the amount of data you have in Linear and other data sources hooked up to your minware account, the initial load time may take a few hours to a day. You can see the status of Linear integration data ingest on the Org Settings > Data Sources > Integrations page.

Once initial ingest is complete, Linear ticket, cycle, team, and other data will populate all of the minware reports.

On an ongoing basis, minware will update all of your data from Linear and your data sources nightly, typically finishing by 7 AM EDT. You can view the latest data load time on any minware report next to the date selector.
