Cursor Integration
minware can integrate with Cursor to track Cursor adoption and usage across your organization. Cursor exposes different APIs depending on your plan, so minware offers two separate integrations:
- Cursor — for Enterprise plans, using the Analytics API and the AI Code Tracking API.
- Cursor Teams API — for Team/Business plans, using the Teams Admin API.
Choose the one that matches your plan. Cursor rejects the Enterprise analytics endpoints for keys that do not belong to an Enterprise team, so an Enterprise key is required for the first option and the second option is what Team/Business customers should use.
Enterprise Plans: Cursor
Prerequisites
You must have team owner access to your Cursor organization, and your organization must be on an Enterprise plan.
Create an API Key
- Navigate to your Cursor Dashboard
- Go to the Settings tab
- Select the Advanced section and find Admin API Keys
- Click Create New API Key and give it a descriptive name (e.g., "Minware Usage Integration")
- Copy the generated key immediately — it will not be shown again after you leave the page
Note: Only team owners can create API keys.
Connect in minware
- In minware, go to Settings > Integrations
- Under AI Usage, click Cursor
- Paste your API key
- Click Add Cursor
minware validates the key before saving the integration.
Team/Business Plans: Cursor Teams API
Prerequisites
You must have team admin access to your Cursor organization. This integration uses Cursor's Teams Admin API, which is available on Team and Business plans.
Create an API Key
- Navigate to the API & SSH Keys section of your Cursor dashboard
- Create a new team API key with the Admin scope, and give it a descriptive name (e.g., "Minware Usage Integration"). We recommend setting a one-year expiration.
- Copy the generated key immediately — it will not be shown again after you leave the page
Note: Only team admins can create API keys.
Connect in minware
- In minware, go to Settings > Integrations
- Under AI Usage, click Cursor Teams API
- Paste your API key
- Click Add Cursor Teams API
minware validates the key before saving the integration.
